About Us

Besides our Experience in the industry, our friendly culture in the school & our always up-to-date structured teaching approach, there are other reasons you should choose Eagle1.

Our Story

Founded in 2014, obtained SACAA  ATO certificate number CAA0242 and obtained new SACAA ATO CAA1117 in 2020, humble beginings of just 2 privately owned aircraft on lease and a Team with a dream.

We have worked tirelessly, like a family, to grow not only our academy but foster relationships with all those in the aviation environment. It has been a shared personal goal of our managers and general work staff to acheive the best aviation training and safety standards.

Without any exception or excuse for mediocracy, in 2018 we have since made a huge change in our fleet from Slings II to Cessna 172 based.

In 2019, We have since seen exponential growth, primarily due to the dedication and commitment we recieved from our students and instructors. Our instructors being always up to the challenge and never unavailable for a quick flight, enjoy their job more than life itself.

Our main workhorse, ZS-IWE was at one stage our ONLY aircraft. However, with a collective effort we have done tremendous and unimagible accomplishments to then have another 3 C172's, 1 C182 , 1 FNPT II Simulator, 2 leased Twin Engine Aircraft and soon a KingAir B200 to be added on our ATO in a little under a year.

At Eagle1, We are more than a school for flight training. We are a family. We look out for one another and make sure the best available care is give to our team of instructors and students.

Why South Africa?

Diversity

The reason it is called the rainbow nation is because of its diversity. No matter where you’re from, rest assured; you will fit in.

Affordability

The South African economy although rising, it is still a great opportunity due to low costs of living expenses. As a simple example, the Quarter Pounder meal costs $3 compared to $6 in the USA.

Agility

The aviation industry is regulated in South Africa by the SACAA under ICAO. This will make sure that your license is accepted in many other countries & aids your conversion license to fly anywhere around the globe.

The SACAA license is one of the most prestigious pilot licenses out there. While pocessing FAA, EASA & SA touches, the SACAA have been globally acknowleged for the standards set and implemented to date
