Private Pilot License

Ab-initio - Student Pilot Licence (SPL)

1. You must be 16 years of age.
2. You must obtain a class 1 or 2 medical.
3. Receive your SPL. This will enable you to fly Solo above 10 hours once authorized by one of our Grade II Instructors.

Private Pilot License (PPL)

1. Hold a valid Student Pilot License.
2. Accumulate a minimum of 45 hrs of flight training.
3. Successfully pass 8 online PPL examinations.
4. Complete a English Language Proficiency Test (if required).
5. Pass a Restricted Radio License course.
6. You must be minimum 17 years of age in order to take your two practical flight tests.
7. Once all the documentation is completed it will then be sent to the SACAA for the initial issue of your PPL(Private Pilot Licence)
